COREY BRAWNER, Phd, CCHP

Senior Project Manager

Dr. Corey Brawner is a clinical psychologist based in Memphis, TN. Dr. Brawner’s expertise includes a strong background in statistics and research design, along with evidence-based clinical care for those living with Serious Mental Illness, veteran-specific programming, suicide prevention and training, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and broadly the intersection of public health and public safety. Dr. Brawner began his career working with justice-involved families and problem-solving courts for the 12th District Court in Hattiesburg, MS, where he spent much of his time in Mississippi County jails. He then went to work for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where he oversaw operations for three states. In the VA system, Dr. Brawner focused heavily on reintegration strategies and reentry into society from military deployment, along with wraparound efforts to provide for effective reentry into the community from settings of confinement. Since early 2021, Dr. Brawner has been a lead expert on Falcon’s staffing analysis for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, developing tools, building large data bases, and presenting analyses and results to demonstrate the effectiveness of mental health program delivery throughout the state’s 33 prisons.
