TODD BUSS

Senior Data Analyst

Todd Buss brings more than a decade of specialized experience in data analytics across corrections, behavioral health, and government healthcare systems. With a career spanning clinical work, statewide program analysis, and enterprise-level reporting, he offers a rare combination of operational understanding and advanced technical capability.

Before joining Falcon, Todd served as a Senior Data Analyst for the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC), where he developed and maintained critical dashboards, reporting systems, and data models that informed executive-level decisions. He worked extensively with Excel, Visual Basic Script, SAS, SQL, Power BI, and Qlik Sense to troubleshoot data issues, enhance data quality, and deliver insights that drove operational improvements.

Todd holds a master’s degree in Community Counseling. Earlier in his career, Todd worked directly in clinical and correctional environments as a Psychological Specialist, serving in roles including intake screening, inpatient care, group facilitation, crisis intervention, aftercare planning, and substance abuse services. This frontline experience gives him deep insight into the human, behavioral, and operational realities behind the data and makes him uniquely equipped to translate clinical needs into precise reporting solutions and intuitive dashboards.

In his administrative support role with FDC, he served as a project organizer, working as a bridge between technical and clinical stakeholders. He analyzed mental health workloads, patient flow, and caseloads to create a policy-aligned, statewide staffing matrix. He served as FDC’s lead technical consultant for an electronic aftercare referral system and a centralized inpatient referral and transfer system.   He assisted FDC’s mental health team in transitioning from paper records to an electronic health record by designing electronic forms and defining essential data collection points. He conducted trend analyses on suicide data and served as a lead analyst in the development of a self-injury risk profiling system. Known for his user-centered design approach, Todd builds analytics tools that are accurate, actionable, and accessible to both clinical and operational teams.

At Falcon, Todd serves as Senior Data Analyst, applying his extensive domain expertise, technical depth, and commitment to data quality to strengthen data frameworks, enhance reporting capabilities, and support evidence-based decision-making across Falcon’s operational, clinical, and justice-focused initiatives.
