RAYMOND HERR, MD

Dr. Raymond Herr joined Falcon in 2022 as a Senior Medical Expert. Dr. Herr has been involved in correctional healthcare for over two decades, beginning his correctional work in a part-time role caring for patients in a small city jail in Colorado in 1995. Since then, he has served as an onsite provider, site medical director, and corporate executive. Dr. Herr has been employed as the Chief Medical Officer for two national correctional healthcare companies and has provided onsite care in a city jail, dozens of county jails, in state prison facilities in AZ and OK, and in federal prison facilities in TX. He has a special interest in patient safety in correctional settings and the care and management of incarcerated individuals with substance use disorder.

Dr. Herr earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Colorado College and his medical degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He also has a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and a fellowship degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Arizona. Dr. Herr is board certified in General Preventive Medicine and Public Health and Addiction Medicine. He currently is licensed in the states of Washington, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, California, and Arizona.
