RANDY CLARK

Randy Clark brings over 30 years of experience in public safety ranging from Detention Officer and Deputy Sheriff Patrol, to Criminal Investigator and Assistant Chief/Detention Administrator for a 1,298 bed Direct Supervision county jail.  He also served on the Design and Logistics Teams and as Transition Coordinator during the planning, design and construction of the current Collin County Detention Facility and Sheriff’s Office.

Randy served as Collin County Sheriff’s Office McKinney, Texas from 1979-2012.  Upon initial retirement in November 2012 he founded RKC Consultants, LLC specializing in assisting Architects and Engineers in marketing, design, and operational concepts for County Jails.    Randy returned to Collin County Sheriff’s Office as Deputy Chief in 2016 and worked through 2017 assisting with transition between retiring Sheriff Terry Box’s administration and current Sheriff Jim Skinner’s administration.

Randy is an active member of the American Jail Association, American Correctional Association, and Texas Jail Association.  He has extensive experience as a presenter speaking on such topics as: Jail Transition Process, The Role of Facility Maintenance in Jail Operations, Direct Supervision, Video Visitation Technology, and An Introduction to the Principle and Dynamics of Direct Supervision.
